I survived my first day of school here.  It's weird.  Here, we start the Monday before Labor day.  My mom asked if the kids in my class were nice, and I said, "Boy, are they ever!"

After the first week of school, Annie and Clay and Finn and Georgia came to visit.  We went to the beach every single day, and I even rode a wave in on my dad's surfboard.  He GAVE me his "fun" board!  I like to ride my boogie board on my knees.

Yesterday, I saw a baby snake and wanted to pick it up, but my dad wouldn't let me.  My new best friend is Peter Martin.  He lives down the street and he's in fourth grade.  We do everything together.  I think a lot about my friends in Richmond.  I miss you guys!  I love when people come and visit.

See you Soon!!!

Fun at the Beach

Hi everybody.  Things are a lot different living on an island near the beach.

It's very pretty, and there are ducks, frogs, lizards and fish.  I've caught some baby red drum, catfish, puppy drum and spot.

We swim in the canal and go to the pool and the sound a lot.  We also go to the beach at least two or three days a week.

My mom is making me write in my journal some.

I've made one really good friend since I moved here.  He's going into the fourth grade.

I like my new room here.  It's blue like my old one, and I like that I get to stay up late because it's summer.

I'm learning to play soccer and last week, I took an archery class.

I miss everybody in Richmond.

Love,
Chrissy

I have a lot of friends.

This is me and my best friend, Georgia Wren at Mary Angelas.  She has a bird's name for a middle name and so do I.  Christopher Robin.  Our other friend is Eloise Starling.  I have lived in Richmond my whole life so it's going to be hard to move far away.

Broke my arm today on the playground.

May 3, 2012

Today, I broke my arm.  It didn't hurt.  They had to stick a needle in my hand.  It didn't hurt either.  I can't write.  I broke my left arm and I'm left-handed.

Soon, I'm moving.  Wait until you see those pictures!!!!!

Right now, I have Rice Paper art work up at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.  This is me and Finn with my art.
